Clear the Clutter to Find Your Peace

Clutter builds up over time—papers, sentimental keepsakes, things saved for “someday.” Looking around, it can feel impossible to know where to begin. Each attempt to start ends in exhaustion, frustration, or second-guessing every decision. The weight of it all makes moving forward feel out of reach. But what if clearing clutter didn’t have to be overwhelming? What if there were a clear plan, small steps that actually felt doable, and support to keep things moving? That’s exactly what this service is designed to provide.

Marty’s Story: From Overwhelmed to Free

Marty was a widow with 3 grown children and 2 grandkids.  She had been in her home for 40 years and had been wanting to move closer to family for years but she couldn't.  Because of all the stuff in her house.  Years of belongings had piled up—old paperwork, her kids’ forgotten items, sentimental things from her parents, her husband's tools and belongings, the house including the garage and attic were packed full.  She had tried everything but couldn't even keep one room cleared out.  Where should she start? What if she made the wrong choice? What if she regretted letting something go? The weight of indecision made moving forward feel impossible.

Marty and I met and clarified her Goals, Roadblocks and built a Timeline

Marty's Goals:

1. Get her grown kids to finally get their stuff out of the house

2. Sort through years of paperwork and create a filing system that would be easy to maintain

3. Declutter in order to get the house on the market

4. Sell whatever items were valuable and donate the rest.

5. Plan a Move to her new place.

With a structured plan and the right support, Marty was able to:
✔️ Sort through years of paperwork and set up an easy system to manage what mattered.
✔️ Require her grown kids to take responsibility for their old belongings (we gave them a deadline and stuck to it, they grumbled but finally went through their stuff!)
✔️ Let go of sentimental clutter without guilt, keeping only what truly mattered.

✔️ Donate a whole truckload of unwanted items to the local Habitat for Humany (Restore)

✔️ Sell some collectibles, jewelry and antiques to help finance her move
✔️ Get her house ready to sell and was able to move to a much easier Life in a retirement community.

By the end, Marty had finally taken Action to change her whole LIfe and her only regret was that she hadn't done it sooner!

Emotional Support & Practical Tools That Made the Difference

Decluttering isn’t just about getting rid of stuff—it’s about shifting the mindset, breaking through emotional barriers, and having the right tools to stay on track. Throughout the process, Marty didn’t just have a plan—she had a system that gave her clarity, confidence, and momentum.

✔️ A Personalized Color-Coding System – Sorting became easier with a visual system that helped make quick, confident decisions on what to keep, donate, or discard.

✔️ Step-by-Step Worksheets – Each stage of the process was broken down into simple, guided exercises, making the overwhelming feel manageable.

✔️ Customized Checklists – Tasks were organized into bite-sized steps, preventing burnout and making progress feel tangible.

✔️ Coaching Support for Emotional Hurdles – Letting go of sentimental items felt less daunting with encouragement and perspective shifts that made decisions easier.

✔️ A Routine for Maintaining Progress – A structured yet flexible weekly plan ensured the clutter wouldn’t creep back, while still allowing for free, unstructured time to enjoy life.

With the right mix of emotional support, structured guidance, and practical tools, Marty didn’t just declutter—she learned how to keep her space peaceful and manageable long-term.

Testimonial

"I was drowning in stuff. I had years of paperwork, my kids' old belongings they never came back for, and sentimental things from my parents that I kept out of guilt. Every time I tried to start decluttering, I got overwhelmed and shut down.

Then I met Christa, and everything changed. She didn’t just give me a plan—she gave me the confidence to take action. Her encouragement, humor, and no-judgment approach made the process feel manageable, even fun at times! She walked me through everything with easy worksheets, checklists, and a color-coding system that took the stress out of decision-making. But more than that, she truly understood what I was going through. She pushed me when I needed it, reassured me when I doubted myself, and became a trusted friend along the way.

Now, my home feels lighter, my mind feels clearer, and I finally feel in control again. I never thought I could do this, but with Christa’s help, I did. I can’t recommend her enough!"
